Initial Consultation
All therapy services begin with an initial consultation. During the initial consultation, you discuss your presenting concerns and goals for therapy. You also review pertinent background history. Your psychologist assesses your clinical needs and develops an individualized treatment plan for you.
Individual therapy
Individual therapy involves one-on-one sessions with your psychologist. Together, you work collaboratively towards reaching your therapy goals. Individual therapy usually begins with once weekly 45-minute sessions. However, depending on clinical need, therapy sessions can range in length and frequency.
Parent Training
Parent training involves sessions between a psychologist and parents/caregivers of children and adolescents. Sessions are focused on developing skills and implementing targeted behaviors plans. Goals of parent training include improving support, communication, problem-solving, healthy boundaries, and overall family functioning.
